National Honor Society (NHS) & National Junior Honor Society (NJHS)
NHS (grades 9-12) and NJHS (grades 6-8) are the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school and middle school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS & NJHS serve to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service and character.
At AYA, students are inducted into the AYA Chapter of NHS each Fall based on their high academic performance, their service to the school, their outstanding discipline record and teacher recommendation.
Any student entering AYA on probation, or receiving ISS or OSS will be ineligible to participate and/or join until the conditions of suspension from participation in activities are met.
