PBIS

WHAT IS PBIS?

PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) is an evidence-based three-tiered framework aimed at enhancing and integrating all aspects of data, systems, and practices that impact student outcomes. It serves as a comprehensive approach to support the success of all students, including those with disabilities, by fostering a positive and conducive learning environment.

PBIS goes beyond being a mere curriculum that can be purchased or learned in a single professional development session. Instead, it represents a dedicated commitment to transforming student behavior through systemic changes. When effectively implemented, PBIS leads to improved social and academic achievements for students, reduced reliance on exclusionary discipline practices within schools, and a greater sense of effectiveness among school personnel.
