Early Childhood Curriculum

AYA Early Childhood: Nurturing Young Explorers!

At AYA's Early Childhood programs, we foster a stimulating environment where young children can flourish through creative challenges. Our curriculum actively engages children in the learning process, striking a balance between child-initiated and teacher-guided activities, and offering indoor and outdoor experiences. Through learning centers, children can freely choose from a range of activities like building, drawing, and dramatic play. Integrating Islamic teachings into the daily curriculum and involving parents allows us to nurture each family's Muslim identity.

Our developmentally appropriate curriculum covers the following areas:
  • Islamic Studies and Arabic Language Studies
  • Language Development and Literacy
  • Mathematics
  • Science and Nature
  • Social and Emotional Skills
  • Physical Education
  • Arts and Crafts

Our Early Childhood programs cater to children aged three to four years old.

Enrollment is valid for the entire school year. If a child is withdrawn for a period exceeding 2 weeks, a re-registration fee will apply, which will be calculated proportionally.

Any changes in addresses, telephone numbers, employment status, marital status, or other relevant information must be promptly communicated to the office.

All students are required to adhere to the conduct standards and follow the rules and regulations of the institution.

At AYA, we maintain an Open Door Policy, warmly welcoming parents and guardians to visit our classrooms and observe our Early Childhood Program.

Our dedicated staff comprises caring individuals who meet the educational and training requirements for their roles. Our VPK teachers possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree and 45 hours of training, including VPK instructor training.

All staff members regularly engage in continuing education and in-service training, ensuring their skills and knowledge stay up to date. CPR certification, First Aid training, and Level II Background Clearance provided through the Department of Children and Families are mandatory for our teaching professionals.
